Introvert-Friendly, Extrovert-Approved: My Cozy Craft Club Experience

This weekend, I decided to do something a little different and take myself on a solo date to The Craft Club by Cozy Craft’s latest event. I went alone but quickly realized I wasn’t really alone at all. Honestly, this club might just be the perfect way for introverts, like myself, to feel extroverted, lol. The vibes were super inviting, warm, and of course, cozy!

Before heading out, I debated whether to wear my comfy sweatsuit or my favorite fall outfit. Spoiler: it didn’t matter one bit! Everyone had their own style, some showed up dressed to the nines, while others came in matching loungewear with their girlies. It was a perfect mix, and everyone seemed to get the fall color memo.

I arrived about an hour late, thinking it’d be a quiet little crafting night. Instead, I walked into a packed room buzzing with energy! I ended up snagging one of the last two seats next to another woman who came solo too! We chatted the entire night and had the best time talking about our other solo adventures in and around 'Cuse.

The energy was so much different than I expected, in the best way possible. I didn’t see a single person I knew there but somehow, we were all still bonding together. DJ Takeover kept the vibes high from beginning to end, and for a second, I forgot I was even there to do arts and crafts! The Cozy Craft Club really nailed the balance between chill and social, and I got a super cute mug out of it! Perfect with the cold weather approaching (or, unfortunately, already here).

Towards the end of the night, I got to chat with the club's Founder, Ms. Laney Delee, who was just as sweet as she seems online (and yes, we totally bonded over our aesthetically pleasing Instagram pages lol). When I asked what inspired her to start the club, she shared that it was actually her clients who encouraged her! Laney is also the co-founder of Sole Purpose Luxury Pedicures, where she spends her days using her crafting skills to make women feel special! So, this creative, community-centered project just makes perfect sense.

Laney and her business partner have clearly created something special with The Cozy Craft Club and she even gave credit to her mom for being such an amazing supporter and helping hand. I love a good mother-daughter duo! Everything was so well curated, you wouldn’t even know that this was only their second event ever!

As the night wrapped up and I walked out with my freshly painted mug, I couldn’t help but smile. What started as a slightly intimidating solo date turned into an evening full of laughter, creativity, and unexpected connection. The Cozy Craft Club reminded me that community doesn’t always have to mean knowing everyone in the room, sometimes, it’s just about showing up.

I’m already counting down the days until their next event, and if you’ve been looking for a cozy way to meet new people or just treat yourself, definitely take this as your sign to go too!
