First Day Feels & Fresh Starts: Back to School Around Town

Even though my kids aren’t in school yet, I still feel that familiar wave of back-to-school energy in the air, and to be honest, it’s already making me nervous for their first day (in 3 years). The backpacks, the lunchboxes, the drop-offs, the goodbyes... I’m mentally preparing now, and we’re still a while out! Maybe it’s because back-to-school season feels like a big transition for everyone, not just students. Even if your little ones are still in diapers or daycare, it’s hard not to imagine what it’ll be like when it’s their turn to line up with a backpack twice their size, but let me get to the point before i start getting emotional!

The cost of school supplies these days is insane. Between notebooks, pencils, headphones, and getting dolled up for the first day, it adds up fast. That’s why I think it’s so important to highlight the amazing, completely free back-to-school events happening in our community. These events not only help ease the financial burden, but they also bring families together in the best way.
