Getting Over The Hump: Last Weekend’s Highlights + Sneak Peek at This Weekend

Updated: Aug 5

Hey everyone, fancy meeting you here. Last weekend was so busy I had to sit down and think about everything I did! LOL. Let’s get into it:

Starting with Friday, although mommy (mamacita?) life kept me inside, I heard DJ East Harmony’s debut set at The York was a hit! I’m hoping she’s back soon so I can catch the next one! I still made the best of my night though, my girls came over for a quick hair braiding session and we caught up on all the Love Island drama. Also, shoutout to my awesome babies that don’t play about their sleep! In bed, 8pm sharp okay!

Saturday is where the weekend started to pick up. We spent the morning at Onondaga Lake Park before napping and heading out to the Puerto Rican festival. I'm so glad we get these opportunities to share the culture with our kids. The air was filled with the smell of some of my favorite foods. Flags were waving everywhere and of course I had to hit a quick bachata before leaving.

Afterwards, I drove over to the Syracuse Greek Picnic to support some friends and watch Syracuse’s D9 members as they strolled, it’s always inspiring to see such talent and energy in the community.

Lastly, Sunday morning started of with some cleaning… I mean Sunday Cleaning. Then, later in the day, I stopped by Domonique’s Dance Creations for a "Wine and Whining" workshop. Now, your girl has been a dancer, okay, but this class had my body moving different! A little wine, a little whining, and a lot of laughs was a great way to end the weekend.
