This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Pretty Girls Wellness Pop-Up, hosted by Imani Monds, owner of House of Artistry Beauty Lounge. If you don’t already know Imani, she’s a Syracuse native who went to OCC for three semesters before deciding to take a leap of faith and become a licensed esthetician. Fast forward to now, she owns her own beautiful lounge where seven other women also run their own businesses out of her space. Talk about women supporting women!

The event itself was the true definition of “For the girls.” I walked in solo but instantly felt part of the community, which kind of seems to be a trend lately (love that for me). The room was filled with women chatting about their own beauty journeys, sharing tips, and just celebrating self-care.

Imani thought of everything: a candle painting station, a DIY body scrub bar, a permanent jewelry station, and even mini skincare consultations with personalized product samples to take home. Oh! And there was the cutest little soda and popcorn bar keeping everyone refreshed. The Soda & Pop Stop served popcorn sundaes along with customized sodas, I got the baddie bubble ( obviously) and it was absolutely delicious.

I loved that everybody who came truly left with something valuable. I left with a ton of goodies but honestly as a mom, it’s so easy to put yourself last sometimes, so that little skincare consultation was exactly what I needed. Imani made it effortless to rediscover a routine that works for me.
After the event, I also got to book my first-ever facial with Imani, yes, my first at this big age! She was so kind, patient, and truly wanted me to leave with everything I needed to feel good in my own skin. The facial was so calming, so relaxing, and I even left with a step-by-step skincare guide (and trust me, I needed it badly).
Imani has truly created a space that celebrates women in every way. This was my first time attending one of her events, and I see why they’re so successful! She really focuses on community, confidence, and care. She also briefly mentioned her next event (pajama night) and I can’t wait to go and for sure bring my girls along!
